Furnish me with things to do in Cornwall
First cunt to say The Eden Project gets a slap!

Got five days of restful relaxation about 15 miles out of Newquay starting tomorrow, don't care about the weather, just need the break.

Remember I am a 44 year old so looking at anything older than me is a good thing :)

Who said I didn't check? I just asked for recommendations.

Not finding somewhere to watch us today should have been the top thing to do.

Odd that someone would go somewhere for rest and relaxation without checking out what its attractions are first.

If you go abroad, I urge you to find out if you're going to war zone first.

That was Ocean Magic. The shop guy was Jeremy. I was working at OM at the time. Jez had a hard time getting over it. I didn't give a shit about the thieving bastard but then i wasnt the one who chased him off a cliff.

All over a pair of sunnies

Padstow is just up the road, touristy but still lovely.

I love all the hidden bays and big beaches. Both are in abundace in newquay area. Take a walk out to Porth Island for some great isolation. Walk up the Gannel to Crantock beach.

I wouldn't even say the main strip is anything like Southend. I mean they both have pubs and bars and drunk youngsters but so does literally every single high street and town centre in the country.

Andy... all I can say is that you just walked up the main strip of Newquay.. went in sailors... then fucked off home... there is so many chill out and decent drinking holes in and around Newquay... yeah the main strip where all the stag and hen parties go is a bit of Southendisation but it is what it is...if you are a couple or a family you don't go near there... if you are a bloke with 10 mates... fill yer boots

Grumpster: Am wondering if Andy has ever been to either Newquay or Southend!!

On is full of amusement arcades and boozers and the other is full of surf dudes

I live in Leigh on Sea and visited Newquay this summer and last summer (for one evening during a weeks holiday).

I said Newquay was great if you liked Southend sea front, not that they were both the same place. Southend has its fair share of seasonal grubby tacky shit, and so does Newquay. To say it is full of surf dudes makes me wonder if you've ever been there. It was full of fifteen year old slags with fish and chips and blotchy tans in July.

Re: Furnish me with things to do in Cornwall
you don't go to Cornwall to do things. You can come to London for that. In Cornwall you find an isolated spot and simply exist. Ideally within a decent coastal walk of a pub and a crab sandwich but try not to talk to anyone.
That said, the graveyard at St Just (Roseland) is a magical spot. Someone mentioned Tintagel which I haven't been but as it is the rumoured setting of part of the Tristan legend, one of the greatest stories ever told, I would like to see it.
